Adriana Gonzales
Professional Actor Training Program, UW School of Drama

Adriana Gonzales is a multi-hyphenate creative artist whose work lives at the intersection of theater, dance, and cultural storytelling. Based across Seattle, Denver, and the Dallas–Fort Worth area, she brings over 15 years of training in theater, dance, and music to a practice that is both physically expressive and deeply personal.
Rooted in her Southwest and Mexican heritage, Adriana's artistry is shaped by a commitment to honoring her cultural identity and the generations that came before her. Adriana uses her voice and body as powerful narrative tools, creating performances that extend beyond dialogue into movement, choreography, and physical expression. Her work spans stage and screen, as well as digital platforms including podcasting, video blogging, and photography with each medium offering a new way to connect with audiences.
In this episode, Adriana joins us to discuss Shakespeare, performance, acting, and why theater continues to connect with audiences centuries after its creation. Her perspective as both a performer and educator offers valuable insight into how classical works remain relevant and meaningful today.
“If those stories don’t get told, they go away. We create stamps in history so our ancestors’ voices aren’t forgotten in two hundred years.”
